Viognier & Muscat Blend

Tasting Notes

Bright and well balanced, fresh tropical and stone fruit, lychee and honeysuckle aromas with a melon and orange blossom finish. Round mouth feel with good weight for a light wine. Great with spicy foods or triple cream cow’s milk cheese and your favorite baguette. This is a stunning example of a Rhone influenced wine here in California.

Vineyard Notes

This floral blend of Viognier and Muscat comes from a private estate in Temecula Valley that practices the art of developing a high concentration of explosive flavors from the grapes by slowly stressing the vine before harvest. Temecula’s light, sandy loam soil, comprised mostly of decomposing granite, permits water to drain easily. This forces the roots to grow deeper to find water, resulting in stronger vines and smaller grapes-- ideal for highly concentrated flavors. Temecula Valley AVA encompasses 33,000 acres. Approximately 1,300 acres are currently planted.
